• Bocar Seck, Co-founder of Poular Legacy

Bocar co-founded Poular Legacy out of a deeply held belief that a community is only as strong as its most vulnerable members. Witnessing the compounding struggles of hunger, housing instability, and the loss of basic rights, Bocar set out to build an organization that doesn’t just offer temporary fixes, but actively walks with people as they rebuild their lives.
Driven by a vision of holistic care—combining immediate relief with education, faith, and job placement—Bocar focuses on breaking down the systemic barriers that hold people back. For Bocar, this work is about more than charity; it is a lifelong commitment to restoring the human dignity, voice, and potential of every neighbor we serve.
• Fatimata Sow, Co-founder of Poular Legacy

Before launching Poular Legacy, Fatimata saw firsthand how easily people can slip through the cracks of society when they lose their housing, their jobs, or their sense of community. Believing that everyone deserves both immediate care today and a realistic path to a better tomorrow, Fatimata brought together the pillars of food security, advocacy, and employment training to create a true safety net.
As Co-Founder, Fatimata works to ensure that our programs treat every individual with the utmost respect, offering not just a handout, but a community to belong to and the tools to succeed.
